Malaria Bites!

Last night's "fill JohnPaul's hat" raised $56.53 for our BiteBack project! (If you missed it, go to the website and find out what this project is all about.) That's not too shabby when you consider you guys had no warning that we were going to collect anything, this was the first time you'd ever heard of BiteBack, and many of you don't have a regular source of income. I'm really excited to see how it will go next week, when you know what's coming and can be prepared! I already heard of one of you who's planning to pick up dog poop to earn some money for BiteBack. (That's why I love youth ministry - you guys are awesome.)

I'm also really excited about the BiteBackBenefit we'll be doing this spring. Cody and Jesse are already locked in with a couple videos and I can't wait to see what other talents you guys will share. Goals are good, so I'm setting one for us right now: 300 nets. That's a long way from 5, but ever since last weekend, when I first heard of BiteBack, that's the number that's stuck in my head - 295 to go!
